Your data stays yours
CostLoop never connects to your bank account or requests banking credentials. The Chrome extension reads sender, subject, date, and message ID from your inbox, and for likely billing messages it also reads the message content to extract subscription details, through a secure server-side connection. Raw email content is not retained - only the subscription details you choose to import are saved. You confirm each detected subscription before it is saved.

CostLoop never connects to your bank account or requests card credentials. Import a CSV export from your bank or card provider instead - you control exactly what data comes in.
Read-only access, no raw data retained
The Chrome extension reads sender, subject, date, and message ID from your inbox. For likely billing emails it also reads the message content, through a secure server-side connection, to extract subscription details. Raw email content is not retained - only the subscription details you choose to import are saved. You review each suggestion before it is confirmed.
Works with any provider
Many tools - especially niche, regional, or older software - have no open banking connection and no public API. CostLoop works with all of them equally because it does not depend on live data feeds.
