Pro is a single flat rate - $9/month for one user, no per-seat charges. Whether you manage 5 subscriptions or 500, the price does not change. There is no annual lock-in on Pro either: you can cancel month to month with no penalty. If you upgrade and decide it is not for you, cancelling takes thirty seconds from your account settings.

The Free plan is not a crippled trial. You get a real dashboard, renewal reminders, cancellation link storage, and notes - for up to 5 subscriptions at no cost. A freelancer or small team gets genuine value from Free without ever needing to upgrade. The limit exists to make the economics work, not to frustrate you into paying.

Upgrade from Free to Pro when you need to track subscriptions beyond that first one, want the health score to surface wasted spend, or need the renewal calendar to stay ahead of billing dates. Can I switch between plans?

What happens when I want to add more than 5 subscriptions on Free?

You'll be prompted to upgrade to Pro. Your existing subscription is not deleted - it remains intact and accessible while you decide whether to upgrade.

Is there a trial for Pro?

You can start with the Free plan and upgrade anytime - there's no time pressure. There's no separate time-limited trial beyond the free tier itself.

How do I cancel Pro?

Cancel anytime from your account settings. Your Pro access and all features continue until the end of your current billing period. There are no cancellation fees.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept credit and debit cards via Stripe. All payments are processed securely - CostLoop never stores your card details directly.

Is there a free trial for Pro?

There is no separate time-limited trial for Pro. Instead, the Free plan works as a genuine starting point - you can add your first subscription, set reminders, and get a feel for the interface before upgrading. When you are ready to unlock unlimited subscriptions and the health score, upgrading to Pro takes one click. There is no minimum commitment, so you can cancel after your first month if it is not the right fit.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly billing?

Yes. You can switch from monthly to yearly (or yearly to monthly) from your account settings at any time. Switching to yearly saves 17% compared to paying monthly - the equivalent of getting 2 months free. If you switch from yearly to monthly, the change takes effect at the end of your current annual billing period so you are never charged twice for the same period.

What happens to my data if I cancel?

If you cancel Pro or Business, your account moves back to the Free plan at the end of the billing period. Your data - all subscriptions, notes, and documents you have added - is preserved. You will not lose anything; you will simply be limited to 5 subscriptions on Free. If you permanently delete your account, all data is removed in line with our privacy policy. We recommend exporting a CSV backup before deleting.
