How to Cancel Your Loom Subscription
A clear guide to downgrading or cancelling your Loom paid plan - what happens to your video library and shared links, what changes on the free plan, and how refunds work.
Before You Cancel Loom
Three things to check before you start the Loom cancellation process.
- Download videos you want to keep offline. On the free plan, video length is limited to 5 minutes per video. Videos longer than 5 minutes that were recorded on a paid plan will be locked for new recordings but existing videos remain viewable. Download any long recordings to your local drive before downgrading.
- Check shared link behavior. Existing shared Loom links will continue to work after downgrading. Recipients can still watch videos you have already shared via link, regardless of your plan change.
- For Business plans, only workspace admins can cancel. If you are a member of a Business workspace, ask your admin to complete the cancellation.

What happens to my Loom videos after I cancel?
All previously recorded videos remain in your library and existing share links continue to work. You lose the ability to record new videos longer than 5 minutes (the free plan limit). Videos recorded on a paid plan that exceed 5 minutes are not deleted but you cannot create new ones of that length without re-subscribing.
Does Loom offer refunds when you cancel?
Loom does not issue prorated refunds on annual plans. Your paid access continues until the subscription end date. Monthly plans stop renewing after the current period ends. Contact Loom support for billing disputes or if you believe you were charged in error.
What does the Loom free plan include?
The Loom Starter (free) plan includes unlimited videos up to 5 minutes each, basic viewer insights (who watched and when), screen plus cam recording, and link sharing. It does not include unlimited video length, custom branding, password protection for videos, engagement insights, or team management features.
Will my Loom share links stop working if I cancel?
No. Existing share links continue to work for viewers after you cancel. People you have already shared Loom videos with can still watch them via the original link. The change only affects your ability to create new recordings and the features available to you as the creator.
