How to Cancel Your Webflow Subscription
A clear guide to cancelling your Webflow Site or Workspace plan - what happens to your published site and custom domain, how to export your code first, and the difference between Site and Workspace plans.
Before You Cancel Webflow
Three things to check before you start the Webflow cancellation process.
- Export your site code before cancelling. Webflow allows you to export clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from any site. Go to the Designer, click the Export button (top right), and download your site code as a ZIP file. This gives you a static version of your site you can host elsewhere.
- Understand what happens to your live site. If you cancel a Site plan, your site is unpublished and goes offline. The custom domain will stop pointing to Webflow. Export your code and redirect your domain to a new host before cancelling if your site is actively used.
- Cancelling a Workspace plan vs. a Site plan is different. Workspace plans cover your design environment (seats, projects). Site plans cover the hosting of a specific published site. Make sure you know which you are cancelling.
How to Cancel Webflow - Step by Step
These steps apply to Webflow Site hosting plans and Workspace plans. Site plan cancellation is done through the individual site's settings; Workspace plan changes go through Workspace Settings.
-
1
Sign in to webflow.com
Go to webflow.com and sign in with your account.
-
2
Open the Workspace settings
Click your workspace name in the top-left corner of the Webflow dashboard and select "Workspace Settings."
-
3
Navigate to Billing
In Workspace Settings, click "Billing" in the left navigation to see your active plans.
-
4
Find the plan to cancel and click Downgrade or Cancel
For Site plans, you may need to go to the site's settings directly (Site Settings > Hosting). Click the option to cancel or downgrade the specific plan.
-
5
Confirm the cancellation
Complete the confirmation flow. Paid hosting cancellation will unpublish your site at the end of the current billing period. Workspace downgrade reverts your design environment to free plan limits.

What happens to my Webflow site when I cancel hosting?
When you cancel a Webflow Site hosting plan, your site is unpublished and taken offline at the end of the billing period. Anyone visiting your domain will see an error or a Webflow-hosted placeholder page. Your site design and CMS content are preserved inside Webflow's editor, but the site is no longer publicly accessible.
Can I export my Webflow site before cancelling?
Yes. Webflow allows you to export clean HTML, CSS, and JavaScript from any site regardless of plan. In the Designer, click the Export Code button to download a static ZIP of your site. Note that CMS-driven dynamic content, form handling, and Webflow's hosting features will not function in the exported static version - you would need to re-implement those separately.
Does Webflow offer refunds when you cancel?
Webflow does not offer prorated refunds on annual plans. Your site hosting remains active until the subscription end date. Monthly site plans stop renewing at the end of the current billing period. For billing disputes or accidental charges, contact Webflow support.
What does the Webflow free Workspace plan include?
The free Workspace plan includes up to 2 unhosted staging sites, unlimited pages on those sites, the full Webflow Designer, and access to the Webflow CMS in staging mode. You cannot publish to a custom domain without a paid Site plan. Free sites are hosted on a webflow.io subdomain and are limited in CMS items and form submissions.
